Let's Watch Bob Demonstrate His Cowardice!

Bobbo,

On Friday, you rehashed your tired old hyperbole, attacking the Catholic Church for stating that it was God's will for humans to evolve from hominids.

You spewed your standard crap, saying that evolution can't be true because it "waters down" the authority of scripture and if God used evolution he could have mentioned it to Moses, etc. Blah blah blah.

I don't want to argue evolution with you Bobbo. Nope, no discussion of evolution with you because you're far too ignorant to have an intellectually honest discussion of the topic. So instead, I need you to do something else.

I need you to call out all Catholics and demand that they denounce and renounce the Catholic Church.

You see Bobbo, you recently made yourself guardian of the Christian belief system. You did that when you publicly stated that Barack Obama needed to denounce and renounce his church. You said that it was irresponsible for Barack Obama to belong to a church that had a "racist" pastor.

So, since you have appointed yourself to the position determining who should belong to what church, you need to make sure that all the Catholics who accept the church's position on evolution leave the Catholic Church.

Bobbo, in your own words, the Catholic Church has "watered down" the authority of scripture by accepting evolution. If the church refuses to accept the literal truth of the Bible and reject evolution, aren't they putting souls at risk? If they see the Bible as something less than literally true, aren't they practicing apostasy?

So as I see it, Bobbo, you have one of two choices: Call for all members of the Catholic Church to reject the Church and its teachings in order to save their eternal souls, or, you can be shut up about this issue and be proven a coward.

I'm guessing that you're going down the "coward" route.

Yours in bravery,

Irl

Bob has often stated that Mormans and Jehovas Witnesses are members of cults because they have belief systems that differ from his. I don't understand why Bob doesn't label Catholics as a cult for believing that humans evolved from hominids.

Oh wait. If Bob did that, he'd be alienating a big portion of his listeners, which, in turn, would effect advertising revenue.

Never mind.

Bob is not a coward. He's just kind.

Daniel,

Thanks for "bringing it strong". Your insights are truly awe inspiring.

Show a little kindness to Daniel, our newest troll. He's only 16. I was the same way at his age.

No, I can take it. I supported Huckabee. That takes courage.

No it doesn't.

Daniel, if you think it takes courage to support someone running for President, you've clearly led a very sheltered life.

Hey Irl,
I agree with Daniel's first comment, but if you want more supporting argument:

Bob never "appointed [himself]... to the position determining who should belong to what church" he is just saying what he believes that Christians should believe. Would you like someone else to say that, based on you non-neutral comments on peoples' beliefs, you have appointed yourself in charge of making sure everyone whose beliefs do not concur with yours change their beliefs accordingly? And then have someone say that, "I'm guessing that you're going down the 'coward' route" because you will likely not fulfill the duties of your own appointment.

Jeff,

"Bob has often stated that Mormans and Jehovas Witnesses are members of cults because they have belief systems that differ from his. I don't understand why Bob doesn't label Catholics as a cult for believing that humans evolved from hominids."

There are certain fundamental things that Christians must believe. One of which is in Jesus’ own words in John 3:18 "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son" (NIV).
I know many Catholics and they do believe in these things. I was even a co-leader with a really devoted and strong Catholic friend in a Christian club when we were in high school. There are many organizations that do not believe important Christian fundamental beliefs. That is presumably why Bob claimed them to be "
